Vishal and Sundar C reunite for 'Purushan': FIRST LOOK teaser promises a masala riot
Director Sundar C is back with Vishal for a new commercial entertainer titled ‘Purushan’. The first-look teaser hints at a humorous, mass-packed film with Vishal in multiple roles, serving ‘Tea and Justice’. This reunion with composer Hip Hop Tamizha Adhi follows their successful ‘Aambala’, promising a familiar blend of comedy and action for audiences.

Director Sundar C is back with his brand of loud, uproarious, and unapologetically commercial entertainers. His latest outing with Vishal has been formally announced with a first-look title teaser that began trending immediately upon its release across social media platforms. A strong undercurrent of humour, commercial mass-impact sequences, and sentiments are Sundar C’s signature elements with Vishal leading the pack and Hip Hop Tamizha Adhi returning to compose.

First look title teaser sets the tone

The makers revealed the title teaser, declaring the movie’s title to be ‘Purushan’ with a cheeky line: “1 Man. Many roles He’s here to serve Tea and Justice. At Once!” The teaser provides a snapshot of the film’s tone – tongue-in-cheek, humorous, and quintessentially Sundar C. Vishal has been presented in various avatars, suggesting a film focused on his individuality, replete with comic scenarios and mass moments. Social media was immediately abuzz with Hip Hop Tamizha ceremoniously lauding Tamannaah’s entry, and the star Vishal himself spelling out the pun: “Adhu Purushan illa… Purushan!” amps up the title.

Sundar C and Vishal’s reunion brings forth a familiar energy

This is another film uniting the Sundar C-Vishal-Hip Hop Tamizha team, known for their earlier collaboration, ‘Aambala’ (2015), which gained fame for its breezy comedy, dance numbers, and commercial masala elements. Although later projects, such as ‘Action’, weren’t exactly box office hits, the response to ‘Madha Gaja Raja’ proves that this genre still finds favour with the audience.
