Bhavana is counting down to the release of her crime thriller ‘Anomie’, set to hit theaters on February 6. As talk around the film grows, she has also shared what keeps her steady off screen. In a recent interview, the actor spoke about her husband Naveen and said his support has been key during hard stretches. She described him as a constant in her life, someone who helps her stay grounded when things feel heavy.
Naveen’s support allows healing
In an interview with Manorama Online, Bhavana said Naveen understands her feelings and does not push her to move on before she is ready. “Everyone needs a different amount of time to get over their problems, and Naveen gives me that time,” she said. She also said healing cannot be forced. “When someone is upset, there’s no point in telling them to be okay quickly. If you ask someone to smile, will they suddenly start smiling?” she asked.Bhavana said real companionship often looks simple. It means giving space instead of offering advice every minute. She said the best partners let you sit with sadness until it passes. According to her, Naveen has always done that. His support, she said, stays quiet but steady. It helps her handle personal challenges and work pressure without feeling overwhelmed.She added that being understood matters more than being “fixed.” Bhavana said Naveen listens without judgment and stays present without trying to solve everything. That approach, she said, makes her feel safe and focused.
Bhavana’s faith shaped by instinct and doubt
Bhavana also spoke about her relationship with faith. She said it shifts between belief and doubt, sometimes in the same breath. “I pray hoping things will work out, but if they don’t, I’ll say I’ll never pray again, or that God no longer exists for me,” she said. She added that those feelings do not last long.She said faith often returns on its own. “When I’m travelling and happen to see a temple, I instinctively pray. That’s when I remember I had said I wouldn’t pray anymore,” she said.Bhavana said her belief is not always steady, but it runs deep. “I do believe that God exists,” she said.
