Amar Kaushik told India Today that, similar to the first film, ‘Stree 2’ needed a significant dance number. However, this time they aimed for the dance to have a deeper meaning rather than just being a routine. As the story evolved, they decided to introduce Shama and sought an actress who excels both in dance and acting. After considering a few options, they chose Tamannaah Bhatia, who had previously collaborated with Maddock, believing she was the perfect fit for the role.

Kaushik admitted that he was initially reluctant to approach Tamannaah Bhatia because the role required her to be bald in the climax scene. Despite his concerns, Tamannaah was very accepting and did not question the scene. Her willingness to embrace the role without concern for her appearance contributed positively to the film, and her performance has sparked significant discussion. “I approached her, and she was very cool about it. She did not even question the scene and was okay with shedding the vanity,” he concluded.
‘Stree 2’ features Rajkummar Rao, Shraddha Kapoor, Abhishek Banerjee, Aparshakti Khurana, and Pankaj Tripathi in key roles. The film has already crossed Rs 700 crore worldwide.
