Taylor Swift‘s texts messages are here and they have set social media on fire. As the legal battle between Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni rages on, the long-awaited text messages from Taylor Swift have now been officially unsealed, as per court documents. Interestingly enough, the texts paint a different picture from what was initially conveyed at the beginning of this courtroom saga. The new court documents have not only added a new spin to the courtroom saga, but have brought Taylor into the centre of the ongoing legal dispute between Blake and ‘It Ends With Us’ director Justin. As per reports on TMZ and Peple, the texts not only see Swift allegedly criticising Baldoni, but also giving Blake her support and even discussing strategy.

Taylor Swift’s messages to Blake Lively unsealed

The message was made public on Tuesday as part of Lively’s unsealed deposition. According to legal filings obtained by TMZ, Swift texted Lively in early December 2024, referencing Baldoni and a forthcoming New York Times article. In the message, Swift allegedly wrote, “I think this b***h knows something is coming because he’s gotten out his tiny violin.”In another exchange, Swift allegedly discussed strategy with Lively, writing, “If Justin was strategic, he would be like no Taylor Swift in the trailer because that gives you more power over the film, that’s your ally not his.”As per reports, the documents now suggest that Swift was not merely an uninvolved observer during the widely discussed meeting with Justin at Blake’s penthouse.

Taylor Swift did not read Blake Lively’s script

In her deposition, Lively stated that Swift had been sent the script shortly before arriving at her New York City penthouse, where Baldoni was still present at the time. “I sent Taylor the script on her way to my apartment because Justin was still there, and I asked her to read them. I told her she didn’t have to, I didn’t want her to feel pressure to do that, but I hope that she would,” Lively said.Baldoni’s legal team had alleged that Lively asked Swift to endorse a revised version of the script “even without having read it.” Swift is alleged to have said in her message to Lively, “I’ll do anything for you!!”

Blake Lively thanks Taylor Swift for ‘making s**t up’

Following the meeting, Lively reportedly sent Swift a message thanking her for her support saying, “You were so epically heroic today. I recapped every moment to Ryan. I kept remembering stuff – You making shit up about me and lenses. And referring to yourself as my doll.”

When Blake Lively called Taylor Swift her ‘dragon’

In Baldoni’s January 2025 countersuit, Lively’s messages to the director revealed that she described Swift and her husband, Ryan Reynolds, as her “dragons,” referencing Game of Thrones. “I happen to have a few dragons. For better or worse, but usually for better,” the alleged message read. “Because my dragons also protect those I fight for. So really we all benefit from those gorgeous monsters of mine. [Smiley-face emoji] you will too, I can promise you.”In her newly released messages to Swift, Blake referred to Baldoni, saying, “This clown falling for all of it. But also resisting it. You are the worlds absolute greatest friend ever.”

Taylor Swift’s messages contrast last year’s statement

These messages reportedly contrast sharply with statements previously issued by Swift’s representatives. At the time, her rep claimed that Taylor ‘was not involved’ in any creative decisions of the film and that she was being dragged into the case merely as ‘clickbait’. Swift’s spokesperson statement as reported by Peple read, “Taylor Swift never set foot on the set of this movie, she was not involved in any casting or creative decisions, she did not score the film, she never saw an edit or made any notes on the film, she did not even see It Ends With Us until weeks after its public release, and was traveling around the globe during 2023 and 2024 headlining the biggest tour in history.”“The connection Taylor had to this film was permitting the use of one song, ‘My Tears Ricochet.’ Given that her involvement was licensing a song for the film, which 19 other artists also did, this document subpoena is designed to use Taylor Swift’s name to draw public interest by creating tabloid clickbait instead of focusing on the facts of the case.”

Blake Lively sought Matt Damon and Ben Affleck‘s help

The filings also reference messages sent by Lively and Reynolds to Matt and Lucy Damon and even Ben Affleck to seek their support for Lively’s cut of the film. In messages sent on May 17, 2024, Reynolds reportedly described Baldoni as “a malignantly vein (sic), sociopathic FAUXminist with almost no sense of boundaries or shame. I cannot believe he hasn’t gone to jail…”That same day, Lively reportedly contacted Ben Affleck, calling Baldoni a “chaotic clown director” and citing “wild HR issues on set.” The documents further allege that Lively sought backing from Anna Wintour and Bradley Cooper.

Justin Baldoni’s cut of ‘It Ends With Us’ was ‘better’

On May 30, 2024, Lively was reportedly informed by the president of Sony Motion Pictures that Baldoni’s cut of the film had tested better with audiences. However, Blake contested, once again using Taylor’s backing saying, “Spoke with Colleen (the author of ‘It Ends with Us’). She feels like I do, still full steam ahead with my cut … it’s done from my perspective, from Colleen’s and from Taylor’s.”
